Rules For Using The Service
Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using Ludo Super League and help keep competition fair, safe, and enjoyable.
Quick summary
Play fairly, respect other players, protect your account, and do not cheat or misuse the service. Virtual items have no cash value, and Ludo Super League does not permit real-money gambling under these terms.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Ludo Super League, including the mobile game, website, multiplayer features, leaderboards, and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who Provides the Service
Ludo Super League is developed by Lockdown Studios in collaboration with Ludo League SA. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the team responsible for providing Ludo Super League and its related services.
3. Eligibility and Children
You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you are under the age at which you can enter into a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for you and supervise your use of the service. Parents and guardians are responsible for activity and purchases made by children under their supervision.
4. Limited Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for lawful, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, extract source code from, or create derivative works from the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
5. Player Names, Accounts, and Security
Some features may require a player name, profile, platform account, or unique player identifier. You agree to provide accurate information where requested and to keep your account credentials secure.
Player names, avatars, rankings, team information, and scores may be visible publicly. We may change or remove names or content that impersonate others, infringe rights, mislead players, or violate these terms. You are responsible for activity associated with your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
6. Fair Play and Acceptable Conduct
You must not:
- cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, use unauthorised software, or manipulate results;
- interfere with servers, matchmaking, security, or another player's experience;
- harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, or impersonate another person;
- submit unlawful, harmful, offensive, fraudulent, or infringing content;
- buy, sell, transfer, or share accounts or virtual items unless we expressly allow it;
- use the service for commercial solicitation, spam, or illegal activity; or
- attempt to access another player's account or data without permission.
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, reverse illegitimate scores, restrict features, suspend access, or permanently ban players where reasonably necessary to protect the service and its community.
7. Multiplayer, Rankings, and Availability
Online matches depend on internet access, compatible devices, and third-party network providers. Matchmaking, rankings, scores, rewards, and game rules may change as we balance or develop the game. We may correct results affected by errors, disconnections, cheating, or technical problems. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a specific opponent, permanent leaderboard placement, or preservation of every match record.
8. Virtual Currency and Virtual Items
The service may offer virtual coins, entry tokens, cosmetics, rewards, or other digital items. Virtual items are licensed, not sold, and may be used only within the service. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for real money unless we expressly state otherwise under separate written rules.
We may manage, modify, rebalance, or discontinue virtual items where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable consumer law. If your access is suspended for a serious breach of these terms, you may lose access to associated virtual items.
9. Purchases and Refunds
If in-app purchases become available, prices and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase. Payments are generally processed by the app store or payment provider, whose terms also apply. You are responsible for purchases authorised through your account or device.
Refund requests should normally be submitted through the platform that processed the payment. Nothing in these terms limits any refund, cancellation, quality, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. No Real-Money Gambling
Ludo Super League is intended as an entertainment game. References to entry fees, coins, stakes, winnings, or rewards refer to in-game virtual features unless clearly stated otherwise. The service does not permit players to wager or withdraw real money under these terms. Any future competition involving prizes or additional eligibility requirements will be governed by separate official rules and applicable law.
11. Advertising and Third-Party Services
Some versions of the service may display advertising or connect to app stores, multiplayer providers, websites, or other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content or services outside our reasonable control. Advertising does not necessarily mean that we endorse the advertised product or service.
12. Intellectual Property
The service, including its software, artwork, branding, game presentation, text, audio, graphics, and other content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. Ludo as a traditional board game is distinct from our original branding, software, artwork, and presentation. No ownership rights are transferred to you under these terms.
13. Feedback and Player Content
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without payment or obligation to you. If the service later allows messages, team names, images, or other player content, you retain any rights you hold in that content but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and moderate it as needed to operate and promote the service. You must have the right to submit anything you provide.
14. Updates, Changes, and Termination
We may update the service, require updates, add or remove features, or stop supporting particular devices or versions. We may suspend or discontinue all or part of the service for operational, security, legal, or commercial reasons. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that logically continue after termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, will remain in effect.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device. Game outcomes may be affected by chance, player decisions, network conditions, and technical limitations. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or protections that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, virtual items, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct where applicable.
17. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information. By using the service, you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without excluding any mandatory rights you may have under the law where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute. Subject to applicable consumer law, disputes may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction in South Africa.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the service, our business, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated terms here with a new effective date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, except where the law requires another form of consent.
20. Contact Us
